SIMS4: origin not running

I try launching my sims 4 and it says please make sure origin is running before playing the sims four. It wont let me play my game. please help me ive done everything....

I dug through the Sims 4 section of Answers HQ and found a huge thread about this issue. After reading through pages of nothing that helped I found one step that surprisingly seems to work for me.

1. Close origin completely.
2. Go here: https://www.origin.com/en-us/download
3. Download Origin (again).
4. Install it right on top of your existing install (you do not need to unistall first unless you have an issue...that way you don't lose your game downloads).
5. Now try running the game!

Would really like an answer to this.  I have uninstalled thre game and reinstalled it.  I have also uninstalled Origin and reintalled it, as well.

This is exactly the issue I am having. I can run other games (been playing a lot of Theme Hospital) but this game will not start.

Unable to start:

nope.. isn't working for me either!! i don't know what else to do! and i really want to play the sims 4 get to work.. anyone has an other idea?

bogget1992 you need to do this>Close Origin , then...
-go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games
-rename Sims4 to Sims4=
-start Origin
-now the game appear in My Games ready for Download
-close Origin
-rename Sims4= back to Sims4
-start Origin
-and now game will be playable
