Product code already used??

★★★ Newbie

Hi,

Origin let me do an update and then I should activate my game ( the sims 4) again but nothing happens. It only says that the product code is already used. And my library is empty.

Could anyone help me?

As @Gorath_the_Elder stated: if you are unable your games then you are most likely logged in to the wrong account. If you don't remember the original login details used to register your Sims game then please contact our Game Advisors via EA Help:

Start with selecting your country of residence to setup your contact. If your country isn't listed you should select either United States or United Kingdom.

Now follow the numbered steps as shown in the picture. If you are unable to login you will also be able to create an anonymous case at this point.

  • The final page doesn't load? press F5 on your keyboard to reload the page or try another browser.
  • You get no contact options? you are most likely trying to contact the selected channel outside of operating hours.
  • Your country has no phone number? use a voIP program such as Skype to contact our UK channel via +44 203 0141818.

Origin only accepts one single game registration per CD Key number.  It is a permanent lock to the initial player account that the registration was entered with.  There is no such thing as transferring any game from an old account to a newer one.  Games on disks come with a built-in insistence to create a new registration, and the difficulty in suppressing that insistence makes digital downloads (to the original player account) much easier than re-using disks.

Answer HQ is totally public.  Anything posted here is available to the entire Internet population to copy, to use, just whatever they want to do with it.  Just as though you wrote it on the wall next to the bus stop, tram stop, tube entry, it's the same thing.

It's totally meaningless to the honest members of the website here.

The number has been edited off.  It is meaningless here in / on the Answer HQ website.

@kumarkarthic007

What caused you to post that number HERE in the first place?   Account problems are the exclusive responsibility of the Game Advisers on EA's Help Center websites.
