System Requirements for "DirectX End-User Runtimes (April 2006) Full Download" ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15478 ) are for Win XP and older. Won't work on Win 7, 8 and 10

Note 1: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 (without the GUID mambo-jambo) will redirect to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download. Why it does that will be a mystery for the God of programmers to solve.

Note 2: although system requirements states supported operating system only to: Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Service Pack 3 - it will work on Windows 10

After you run the directx_apr2006_redist.exe file it extracts a bunch of files to the location you chose. Make sure that you run the DXSETUP.exe file inside that folder after it extracts all the files.

I had this problem too. I used directx_apr2006_redist.exe but, even if there is no more the previously error, another one come out "missing required file codecs//qcncodecs4.dll"
What can i do?
