Origin won't update after I click "restart now"

So Origin is telling me that a new update is ready and is giving me the option to "restart now" to install it. When I click "restart now",it closes Origin for about 20 seconds, opens it back up, and signs me back in, but the "Origin update is ready restart now" notification pops up. I've tried restarting my computer during the 20 second interval that Origin is closed (thinking maybe that's what they meant), but that did not work either. Does any one else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Hi, @JVPCPP

Open origin as an admin by right clicking on it, then choose "run as administrator".

If this doesn't help:

Restart your PC in clean boot mode

Open your origin client as admin (as described above)

Please let us know the result

Having the same problem for a couple months now. I did what you suggested and did a clean boot and the problem still persists.
