Origin won't let me update Sims 4?

When I open Origin it tells me I'm in offline mode, and when I try to go into online mode it gives me a message that says "Sorry for the inconvenience, we had to disconnect you because a mandatory update went live, please exit your game and restart origin to get the newest update and get back online." But I'm not in my game and no matter how many times I exit Origin and go back in it gives me the same message.

If you are still seeing an issue with this, please go to Application settings via the Origin menu and then turn on 'Automatically update Origin' and let us know if Origin then updates, thanks.
