Origin won't install error code 20:2

With this many people having the problem, it is far more likely that it is something on EA's end. I am on a fresh build done today with hardly anything installed and I am having the 20:2 problem while trying to install Origin. the origin thin setup is a bad link for many and anytime you are asked to drop your firewall "run". the original "Originsetup.exe" worked fine from behind my firewalls when run as admin and a link to it is here "https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe". I did have to tell it it could make changes to my computer when prompted by the firewall but that was it.

Clear hosts  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

Clear Origin cache https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/origin-my-games-list-is-blank/

Delete temp files open the Start Menu and type %temp% in the Search field  or click in the Run option in the Start Menu and type %temp% in the Run field.Press Enter and a Temp folder should open. You can delete all files found in this folder, and if any files are in use, they can be skipped.

Restart your machine and try to downlod / install Origin.

If your issue persists, go in Safe Mode with Networking and install Origin https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download

Restart your machine .

It seems to me having thought more on it that someone has maybe put this origin thin setup link there as a mechanism to install "ransomware" or some other malware. It doesn't "seem" to do anything now but what about in the background.
If it has you running without a virus scan and firewall etc. It could be doing anything in the firmware section and we would be totally oblivious to it. I am going to start fresh on my rebuild after I take down some setup links.

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid but why take the risk.

I followed this exactly as written; was able to go a little further before receiving the 202 error code. Is there anything else you can think of that I could try to reinstall Origin? I wish I had never deleted it
