Origin will not stop updating [ Edited ]

Every time i have logged in to my Windows 8 laptop and my desktop finishes loading, Origin will automatically start updating. It happens every time i'm on my laptop and it's using up memory on my laptop. Can you please help/ try and fix this issue. Thank you.

Here is an article available at the help center that you might want to try: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ . It explains how to do a clean boot. Also make sure you added Origin to your firewall and antivirus software.

Try going to your task manager, look under processes, find a process called Origin.exe *32 and click 'End Process'. That should stop it.
