I was playing Sims 3 perfectly fine until I updated to Windows 8. I'm not sure which Windows I have now, but it was because of this update that Origin stopped working. Every time I clicked on the desktop link it said:
Origin.exe- Bad image
C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/MSVCP120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try reinstalling the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error 0x000012f
I completely deleted all traces of origin and Sims 3 off my computer and tried to redownload but the same message comes up. I've tried this multiple times and I'm getting super frustrated. I don't know what to do and I'm not very tech savy. If anyone has a solution can you please explain it thoroughly and simply? Thank you.

Then we will try to take it a step further. Please download and install all x64 and x86 VC++ versions from 2010 to 2015 via the Microsoft website:

Once you've done that you can restart your system and try the game again. Please let me know if that gets you back into the game.
