I have two step verification turned on with the Google Authentication, but the codes generated by the app are not working with origin for some reason..
its amazing how this service can be broken.
Origin doesn't accpet security codes generated by the App Authentication

@kellar01 Please contact an Advisor and after verifying your account ownership they should be able to reset the current login verification method:
1. Click on the following link: http://help.ea.com/ (once there make sure that your country is correctly select in top left hand corner of Help.EA.com)
2. Make sure you are logged in (top right corner) and select 'Help with Game' - if you are unable to log in, please follow the steps in this article.
3. Find the affected game (if it's an account issue select Origin)
4. Select 'Contact Us' at the bottom right on the new page
5. Select your platform and then 'Next'
6. Select topic from the drop down menus, type in a short description of your issue and select 'Next'.
7. Select a contact option. Please note that available contact options do depend on your country settings and time of day.

Yeah, this doesn't help at all with Origin not accepting codes from the app authenticator. When you can't sign in because the codes are not being accepted and there is no help access...
All this does is put people through a cycle of frustration.

I know its been a while but I just had this problem.
It was solved by setting the time to automatic on my phone.
It seems the code is generated from your phones clock.

Thank you, that fixed it.
For others, you also should have gotten 6 one time use passcodes when adding an authenticator, these can be used to access your account to for example temporarily change/disable the 2-factor authentication in case ranieri123's solution doesn't work for you.
Sorry for the thread necro.

hey man, I am having the opposite issue, I can't get origin to send me an email. I had a misspell mistake and I made a new email for the mistake but it will not send an email to the new address. I would love some help and soon.

Thank you, this solved the issue!
For future people searching for a solution: Mine was actually set to automatic already and I had to set it to manual and then to automatic again for it to work, so make sure to try that even if yours is already in automatic.

Great to hear that you got it sorted @HealingMachine.
I'm going to lock this thread as it is quite old.
