Origin and Apex crashes , 0xc00007b

★ Novice

I have installed first time origin on this computer yesterday. When i ran the program, it gave me several 0xc00007b crash errors but the program was working after i closed them. Then i installed Apex Legends and ran it which gave me the same error after the loading image and i couldn't play the game at all. I'm running Windows 7, already reinstalled all the visual c++, net framework, directx. I ran a scan for errors in the cmd, but none were found. Rebooted PC and reinstalled origin and apex several times. Nothing has worked, please help.

The issue is caused by running an out of date VC++ installation @Dzonisher. As such can you try running the installer from the Origin installation folder - the default location for this folder is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin

From this folder, run one of both files:

  • vcredist_x86_vs2015 (for 32bit Windows version)
  • vcredist_x64_vs2015 (for 64bit Windows version)
  •

If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

You can also find the latest files on the Microsoft website:
