Orgin "Download Error" won't allow any me access to ANY of my games for more than a we

Dear Nils, your prompt response is much appreciated I am sure you understand that us simmers feel somewhat in the "dark" about what is going on. Additionally, its not just a matter that EA/Origin has our hard earned money for a product that isn't working, but we are serious simmers/ and other game players who are passionate about our games! If you could comment about the software engineer team or their supervisors awareness that this is a matter requiring their immediate attention, I am fairly positive this would help put your customers' minds at ease and help with our being patient. So do those working on a solution realize this download situation is rather urgent and is being considered as a priority to be solved?? Btw, EA rep Aaron (in the Ireland center) took my call, he was very kind and said he was aware of you and that you were knowledgeable about Origin and therefore a good person to be involved with this downloading issue. Hearing this helped me feel that this situation is being taken seriously. Kind regards, esperelda.

I agree with esperelda. The fact that I know this thing is taken seriously makes me feel better since I have felt terrible about not being able to enjoy the games I have paid for. With games being released in the future that I'd like to preorder, this situation has at times seemed desperate. I hope this gets fixed soon and even the smallest piece of news makes me more hopeful since this has been going on for many days. I try to download my games every morning hoping this is the day I can finally enjoy them. Everyone working with this issue has my best wishes and appreciation.

I know I agree. I want to get around to playing the dead space series and I want preorder The Sims 4 and Dragon Age 3 but theres no way I'm doing that unless this problem is fixed. I do feel better now that the problem is being looked into aleast and support isn't just saying its an internet problem.

I was directed here by a fellow Simmer as I also have the same issue. I bought SimCity on Friday and realised none of my games would download. The only change was that Origin updated since I downloaded Plants V Zombies.

After trying text chat help and following instructions on Friday, which didn't help, I decided to try phone support today (Monday) instead, a lovely lady from Texas called me back and verified the issue isn't on my end as she could replicate it on my account, but not her own, and told me it was being escalated to her Supervisor and Origin too.

I was told the issue hadn't been seen before so maybe someone could update chat support?  I've had numerous issues with the support, including advisors exiting the chat as soon as I mentioned not being able to download SimCity & my questions relating to the issue being deleted.    However the lady at EA support I spoke to on the phone today was very friendly, helpful and reassuring.

Yet another Simmer unable to download purchased EPs. I was fortunate enough that I have base game & WA on disc, but the remaining 6 EPs & 2 Stuff Packs remain undownloaded. Given, I haven't tried the fixes I've found elsewhere or given me by a CSR earlier, but seeing so many complaints both here & on thesims3.com forums, I'm not holding out much hope. Of all the times for my computer to have gotten infected!! :'(

Edit: Just throwing this out there for any customer satisfaction monitoring (yeah, I know, hahahaha): I am never buying another digital download if disc is available and I plan to never purchase anything from EA again. And I truly love the Sims, so that's a pretty big hit to my Fun meter.

You can add me to the list of the 'can't download' issue.  I reported it through the chat and was told 24-48 hour resolution.  I would think since other simmers are reporting being able to download after rolling back one version with Origin that the company would just push out a rollback.  Wondering why that hasn't happened because obviously the recent update has a bug in it.  I write software for a living, and standard business practice is to always have a rollback standing by if a deployment goes badly.  I can't imagine a WORSE deployment than freezing everyone out of their downloads.

BTW your chat support reps were advising people to delete and reinstall.  YIKES, that's a stupid suggestion.

Tried to reinstall Sims 3 yesterday and have since received the download error message for it and all of my other games on Origin. I've never had any problems with this until now. It's very dissappointing to not be able to play a game that I've invested so much time and money into.

I have the same problem too.  I tried going back to an old version of origin and got most of my games to download except 2 that now show as a pre-orders that have not been released yet...odd since they have both been out for a long time!   I updated to the latest version of origin and now they show up like regular games but of course they will not download again.  I have already talked with chat a bunch of times but so far none of their fixes work.   I was just told to contact them again in about 3 hours and then I can talk to a specialist...what a joke since I need to go to sleep by then!  My chat case#13829805.
