My Sims 4 is stuck on resuming update on Origin

I've tried deleting origin, resetting, restarting my computer, logging in and out and its just stuck on resuming the update at 821 MB meaning i cannot play the game. Any ideas on what i can do??

Mac or PC?

PC:

Clear Origin's cache.
Make sure to white-list Origin in your security programs, then run Origin as administrator.

Still not working?
In the Client, go to Origin > Application Settings > Diagnostics, and enable Safe Mode Downloading. Does that make any difference?

Might not be enough, but if this is the case I'll tag someone who's better at Mac.

Mac. I am so frustrated. It keeps getting stuck on resuming right at 42% and I've tried about everything. What do you suggest?

I found a fix by setting Origin application offline. This helped me.

In Origin app, click at the top left corner Origin, click Go Offline. Cancel the update of the game it is stuck on. Turn Origin application back online.
