@shan_jun72 Hi,

Apologies for the late reply. It is possibly that you are affected by an issue with our Origin Client. The good news is that we just implemented a fix for our beta client, that might already resolve this for you. We plan to roll it out to everyone soon, but if you do want to install it in the mean time just follow these steps:

  1. Open Spotlight search.
  2. Type in ~/Library

User-added image

  1. Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Origin.
  2. Select the local.xml file.

User-added image

  1. Open the local.xml file with TextEdit, by clicking on the Edit menu and choose Open with > TextEdit.

User-added image

  1. Scroll down to the end of the XML file and locate the </Settings> tag.
  2. Paste the following information above front of </Settings>:
  • <Setting value="true" key="BetaOptIn" type="1"/>

User-added image

  1. Save the file.
  2. Launch the Origin client to begin the latest Beta update.

Let us whether this resolves the issue for you or whether you are still unable to start the Origin Client to play your Sims games.

Cheers,

Nils
