[Mac] I bought the sims 4 seasons but can't download it [ Edited ]

I bought the sims 4 seasons and it never started downloading automatically, there's is also no button to play or download, even though it says I own the game. Please help, I've tried everything.

You may also try what  @EA_Darko was saying and clear the cache but you will need the steps for mac 

For Mac you will need to rest Origin using the origin reset tool found at 
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

When you open your game library can you see a Sims 4 tile?

@GabbyARB Can you click on it and select repair game and once it has repaired can you attempt to relaunch it.

Also, can you try to clear the Origin cache:

You can clear the Origin Cache by following the steps below:

1. Completely log out and close down Origin
2. Hold down the Windows key and R
3. Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
4. Now open the Origin folder.
5. Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
6. Hold down the Windows key and R
7. Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
8. This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
9. Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
10. Open the Local folder here
11. Delete the Origin folder listed here
12. Restart your PC and log back into Origin

I have a mac, can you share the steps for a mac?

If your using a mac and not able to install your games.  Can you check what version OS you have.  It appears there may be an issue with how Origin is communicating with Mac Yosemite.
You can check and update your OS by pressing the Apple icon at the top of your screen and going to "about this mac"  If you are running Yosemite i would recomend upgrading to macOS High Sierra.

As @KC_Tipin has correctly pointed out, there is an issue at the moment with Origin and Yosemite. EA are aware and a fix should be released very soon in the next Origin patch. In the meantime updating your OS will indeed fix it. If you cannot upgrade to Sierra/High Sierra via the Mac App Store because your Mac does not support it, you will be able to upgrade to El Capitan, instructions here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT206886

Of course, if you're already running a later version of macOS then we need to try different things, just let us know

I do not have Yosemite. I have the latest version of High Sierra
