When I try to install Origin, the only thing that happens is I'm prompted to choose if I want to have a Desktop Icon, Start Icon, Start with PC... etc. When I click install I see the installation progress bar for a moment and then it closes the window and nothing happens. I have disabled my firewall, I have disabled Smartscreen, I have disabled my anti-virus, and I even cleared all temp files and so forth.
I bought BF3 and was pleasantly surpirsed to find Origin not wanting to install. I have downloaded it from the site; I have tried downloading older versions and installing them; and I even waited for another update to Origin and re-downloaded it. Nothing.
I am running Windows 8 Beta, but I don't think this would be the problem. I have had virtually no problem with any other program or game. <.< Ugh, I don't know anymore. Also, I did compatibility checker with Windows as well.
