I can’t download sims 4 from orgin

★★★ Newbie

Hello, I read many topics but I hope there is more simple answer than ones I saw. I bought sims 4 today on ea website and I download origin, at the beginning I didn’t see the sims image at all and I didn’t see the grey arrow m, I restarted my computer and now I can click the download arrow but the file only says preparing 0% and that’s it. I have MacBook Air the last generation. To se if I’m doing something wrong I did the same steps on my moms MacBook Air which is an older version and everything went through. What can I do or what should I check to be pale to download it on my computer ?

@rebirthofeva  Please try running the Origin reset tool for macOS:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

Origin not loading properly can be a symptom of having a proxy enabled, so disable any you have.  Here's how:

If your Mac runs Catalina, please also check whether Origin has full disk access.  Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen, select System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, then the Privacy category, and make sure Origin is included in the list of apps with Full Disk Access.  (Add it if you don't see it.)
