How to reply to an EA Specialist?

I was escalated to an EA specialist and I just received an email from one. Now I’m just confused on how I respond to it. Do I just reply to the email with an email of my own, do I go to my cases and press resume, or do I go to my cases and press something different? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
