I bought and played The Sims 4 digital deluxe edition through origin a while ago. Yesterday, my son wanted to play this as well on his own computer. I thought it best buy him his own copy of the game right away. Since he's underage, I created a child account on origin for him and then bought a new copy using my own account. The payment went through and I've received confirmation mail. But no new product code can be found, neither in the mail or in Origin. To me it seems I've just payed twice for the same game! How can this be solved?

This was solved by calling an EA representative who could sort it out. The general rule seems to be to not buy duplicates as long as Origin lacks any gift feature. The recommendation was to buy extra copies from third party stores.
