With the advent of Steam's Proton you can simply install an EA/ Origin games such as Dragon Age II or The Sims 3, link it up to Proton, add it's comparability layers and then off you go! Tweaking is ( obviously ) required... As a Windows user for nearly 2 decades I can say without a shadow of doubt, Microsoft, you're dead to us! Well that an the fact that I find Ubuntu in way better taste...

I am replying to this thread to share my support for this.
With Steam adding more ability to play games in Linux I may just have stick with my library in Steam and forego Origin. I don't want to, but I really just want to switch to Linux at this point and will take what I can get on the system.
