Error: The Sims 3 - Origin is required to play this game...

I have got the error for the Sims 3...
"Origin is required to play this game. Please install Origin and relaunch the game. If the Origin is already installed and the game is not running, please contact customer support."

- I have only the Main game + Town Life Stuff

- The Origin is updated, so as the game. Trying to reinstall did not work.

the Log file in in origin folder when i type in %ProgramData% wont delete.

None of these steps have worked for me either. Did you figure out a way to fix it?

I have the disc and just wish there was a way to bypass Origin altogether.

Maybe block it in your firewall? On my old laptop, I had the positively ancient EA download manager installed so Sims 3 wouldn't install origin. I'll bet an update since then likely made Origin mandatory, but I've not played Sims 3 in a long time.
