I tried downloading multiple games on my origin library but I always get the same error and it fails. I tried restarting computer, reinstalling origin, running as administrator, resetting the hosts file and allowing Origin through firewall. Why is this software programmed so poorly and then showed into our throat? If you're going to make a mandatory software for ***** sake at least make it function properly EA

I've done everything listed, and Origin continues to tell me that it's failed to download. I just downloaded two other stuff packs and it was fine.

Hi @knarxus,
Are you having the exact same issue as @MrPur3d?
The 196620 error occurs when a download is cancelled or fails. This could for example be when the network connection drops momentarily. If you have the same issue, and if you are not doing so yet, please try downloading through a wired connection.
Another method is to try and reset your internet explorer settings ( this also works even if you don't use IE ). You can find the Microsoft article that explain how to do this, here:
Please let me know if there are further issues.

I've tried all above. Download still fails to start. What other solutions are there?

Hi @MrPur3d,
I hope you managed to solve the issue by now. If not, please contact a Game Advisor, they will be able to help you through further steps.
Sorry for the troubles.
