I see that this issue has still not been resolved. I have reinstalled Windows, I've installed Origin and changed the game library location settings to my F: which has my Origin games installed. I clicked download on BF1. Instead of quickly recognizing the existing game files it went to 50% and then continued "downloading". Downloading what? The whole 79GB is already on my F drive! I canceled the download and guess what? wait... Origin deleted the whole 79GB off of my hard drive!!
Origin this is absolutely ludacris, how does Origin even have the permission to wipe files on my hard drive? This is a serious flaw.
Origin I think you owe me a couple of free games or something, I'm now forced to download a whole freakin 79GB I did not need to! I cannot believe this

To restoring your titles in Origin follow these steps https://help.ea.com/en-za/help/origin/origin/backing-up-and-restoring-your-origin-games/

Doesn't work. This is ridiculous!

I'm guessing this might have something to do with .NET Framework and other game required Windows features not being installed to complete the installation. Origin should be able to determine those features need installing, install them and then recognize/verify the existing game files. This is way to over complicated!

Hi again @PhAse-Shifter-nz
Manually uninstall Origin http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/
Restart your machine.
Install Origin https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download
Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

I am following these steps and it is not working as intended. https://help.ea.com/en-za/help/origin/origin/backing-up-and-restoring-your-origin-games/
I've moved the game folder to a temporary location, started the download, paused, and then copied the original game folder back to the Origin games folder. When I resume the download it is not completing the installation and rather gets stuck on resuming, I then have to force close Origin. I have repeated the process almost 10 times now where it just keeps getting stuck on resuming.

Ok so where it appeared to be stuck on resuming I just left it and it now appears to be skipping ahead and completing the installation. I'm sorry for some of my outbreak it's just that this process is unusually complicated.
