How many more years will we need to wait until some basic download management stuff can be integrated into Origin?
It's a nobrainer that these functionalities should be present in Origin, since it is responsible to download the games I've purchased, while I need to work or use the same PC, or even the same Internet link.
Please don't answer again like years ago with "use an external software to limit bandwidth".
The function you mentioned is something we are working on.
The only other solution for now, if you have that option, is to install your games via disc:
And this is why I use steam instead of origin, that is a horrible suggestion for an online platform. I reinstalled Origin last night and tried to get it to update in "off hours" and failed, I now have dial-up speeds for the next 15 days, Thanks. I will keep your suggestion in mind next time I am purchasing games. I have never had an issue like this with steam and my game library reflects it.
This post is 4 years old, so I'll be locking it down to avoid any more necroposting. If you're still having trouble please create a new post or search for one that is more recent. There have been enhancements to Origin since then, have you checked the Application Settings within Origin to see if you have a cap on your downloads?
Some programs can interfere with downloads, such as anti-virus programs. Make sure Origin is added to the exceptions list and try running Origin as Administrator. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/programs-that-may-cause-conflicts-with-origin/
Don't "necropost." Reviving, updating or bumping old, outdated and irrelevant threads is not helpful for our community. It's best to check when the thread was created before you hit post, just to make sure it's not 2 years old for example.
