Crash Code: e3b0 Shortly after launching Origin

★★★ Newbie

Hello,

I hope someone can help me with this issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything online about this crash code.

After starting Origin, it seems to work fine for between 5 sec up to 5 min. During this time it seems to be running normal and I can go into my library or the store page. However, then Origin suddenly shuts down and a window pops up, telling me that "Origin has encountered a serious problem and must close." The same happens when I start Origin in adminstrator mode.

I have a PC - windows 10 64-bit. I have attached the crash report below.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

J

@gruen-tentakel Can you try the following steps, generally this should get Origin working for you.

  1. Manually uninstall Origin
  2. Run CCleaner
  3. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot
  4. Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify
  5. Download the latest version of Origin and install the client
  6. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports
  7. When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator.

If after all that the app still crashes you can try repairing the registry: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/183887/description-of-the-windows-registry-checker-tool-sca...
