Cannot search for Facebook friends on Origin

Can we search for and add Facebook friends on Origin?

I already did this once (last year), I wanna search again now, but it seems absolutely impossible. Was this function removed?

As you can see my Facebook profile is connected to my Origin:

I already disconnected my Facebook, and reconnected it (on ea.com, because it was not possible to do it anywhere else).

The add friends wizard on the Origin client does NOT have a Facebook button, even though all of EA's help articles on the matter say that it does:

This issue is the same for Origin clients on both Mac and PC.

I just want a straightforward answer telling me if this function is removed or not, so that I can just stop trying to add people from Facebook if there's no way of doing it, even though it used to be possible.

In Origin client or website it is not possible to add friends from Facebook. As far as I know adding friends through Facebook is only available on mobile games.

Quick add: This is not about any one game. This is about adding friends to the Origin client.

Not Scrabble, not The Simpsons - just the Origin client on PC and Mac.
