Cannot redeem Product Code

I've been trying to redeem the code for my Sims Medieval game, since I lost the CD and couldn't find it. When I type in the code for the redeem registration, it confirms that the game is the Medieval game, yet when I click to confirm, it redirects me to "Couldn't redeem your code" and tries to send me to the Sims Forums. I'm not sure how to redeem it, as it is the Limited Edition game, and I don't want to have to buy a new CD just to be able to run it.
