Cannot go Online in Programme

Hi

I can access the online features of every other programme at any time with the exception of the Origin Client which, every so often, refuses to go into online mode. "! YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED, You are currently offline, Go online to access the full range of Origin features" is the message i get at the top, and the Go Online link next to it does nothing when i press it. It is bizarre because i can even go onto the Battlelog page for BF3 and speak online to others while they are ingame. Any idea what could be causing this?
