Can't install Origin

I've had many problems with Origin in the past six or so months.  At first, I couldn't launch my game.  I deleted Origin so I could reinstall it, but now it won't install on my computer.

It seems to install correctly until it updates Origin at the end of the installation.  After it tries to update, I get a message saying, "Something went wrong during the installation.  Please reinstall Origin."

I have reinstalled Origin so many times and I always get this message.  I use Windows 7.  Please help!

First off, please download the Origin installation file from here: https://www.origin.com/download

Next, please navigate to your download folder and right click the "OriginThinSetup.exe" file and choose "Run As Administrator".

If that still does not work, and the installation fails, please follow the below steps in exact order:

1. Manually uninstall Origin.
2. Run CCleaner.
3. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot.
4. Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify.
5. Download the latest version of Origin and install the client - make sure to run the setup file with administrator rights.
6. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports.
7. When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator.

Hello.

Check system files. Run command line as Admin and enter commands:

1) delete garbage:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded /hidesp
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

2) check system files, step 1. if errors faond - restart PC

sfc /scannow & findstr /c:"[SR]" "%windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log" >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfclog.txt"

3) check system files, step 2. if errors found - restart PC

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

4) try use my script for clean of Origin data and reinstall it.

Delete .txt in name and run it as Admin.

Well, I am glad I did not buy anything and just got the game for free with my new Video card, but I am upset that I can't now use the game at all and I wasted my time.  I have followed all the directions and still can't get it to work on my system.  There is no reason it will not work, it just burns CPU cycles and does absolutely nothing.  I am a bit frustrated that this is what EA considers Tech support.  Personally, someone on the phone is better than reading a string of people from 2016 to today.
