Acer or Dell Laptops for TS4?

★ Novice

Hi All,

I currently play the sims 4 and get to work expansion pack on a Dell, i3, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD desktop. I have a few mods as well, but it slows down and stutters a lot after playing for too long. I am looking to buy a laptop with specs: i5, 8GB  RAM, 1TB HDD/256 SSD/512SSD.

These are my options:

Dell:

Acer:

I would be eternally grateful if someone, anyone could please help me choose the best option. I know Dell isn't great for gaming but the specs on the laptops above is enough for the system requirements on TS4. I am not too worried about graphics, but more on the speed and if the TS4 will play for long hours at a time with mods and expansion packs at low to medium settings.

Please help!

Hey @XiaoColoured your GPU and CPU would be equally important when it comes to running a game. The best thing I can recommend is to take a look at the specs required to run your games and then work from there.

Hi Darko,

Will the fact that I have double the recommended RAM and Storage plus a good processor stop TS4’s stuttering, and slow speeds?

Or do I have to lowest the settings first?
