my saved campagns are gone

Okay I havent played DA in a couple of days I load it to the main screen all my saved campaigns are all gone. The game began like I have never played before I also have a windows 8 if that makes a difference. DA still has the records of my acheivements though which is strange please help me out thank you for taking your time to read and give suggestions, thanks.

By default your saved games are located here:  My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age

Do you see any of your characters there?
