Dragon Age Origins cannot find the disc

I have recently reinstalled the game Dragon Age Origins on my computer but I cannot play it since the launcher insists that it cannot find the disc. This even though the disc is in the player and even if I try to start the game from the disc.

Ok, I got it to work today, though it required an uninstall for me again (in another way as usual). I did two things though thus I'm not sure which one fixed it or if you need to do both:

I firstly used regedit to find references to Dragon age and found some weird ones with a dot in the location reference. I removed the dot from those.

Then I used the setup which uninstalls the game after a prompt in this location (for me it is on the D drive though):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition\__Installer\DISK1\EASetup.exe

Why it has a mirror's edge bar I don't know, but ran the uninstall from there

Then used Origin to reinstall

Maybe using only step 2 will work for you guys, I'm not sure.
