Dragon Age Origins: Where is Oghren?

I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins with Windows 7 and NVidia 550, also 4 Gb of RAM.

I installed the first time, played the first time through (badly) and recruited Oghren.  Decided to have another go.

Loaded the Shale DLC and started again.  Oghren had disappeared.

Uninstalled the whole thing, reinstalled and played again without the DLC.  Oghren appeared briefly to have a conversation with a guy, then disappeared again.

Uninstalled, reinstalled no DLC, no Oghren.  Applied Patch Version 1.05 annd started again, no Oghren.

Where is Oghren?  Anyone knows?

My Oghren is not in the Tavern.  How do I make him show up?  Did you ever get this problem sovled.

I'm on PC.  Have the Ultimate Edition and patch 1.05.

Do you have A Lord's Trust: The Second Task or A Prince's Favor: The Second Task in your journal yet? Because he won't be in the tavern before you progress a little in the storyline. Then you can recruit him
