Dragon Age Origins Invalid License

★★★ Newbie

Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition won't start. It tells me "Invalid license. Reason code = Missing DLL: [fmod_event.dll] Error 0x7E". The dll file isn't actually missing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled PhysX multiple times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I've run a repair. I've rebooted my system. Nothing has worked.

Can't run DA:O, License error, PhysX apparently up to date, AMD chipset and GPU

Can't play DA:O, getting the "invalid license" issue. I use an AMD card (NOT! NVIDIA) and already tried to update my PhysX, but because I don't run an NVIDIA card, I just keep getting an error "aborting installation because current software is a newer version than this version" (trying to update to latest available version).

Are Amd users just out of luck or what?
