Cannot Access World Map From Camp

After selecting the party members and accepting, it returns with those followers following you around camp instead of displaying the world map. 

Platform: Xbox Series X

I’ve tried shutting down the Xbox, restarting the game, uninstalling the game and reinstalling but it won’t let me access the world map from any character, making the game unplayable after leaving Lothering.

@Shnagy Is this at the start of the game or are you far in?

It’s right after leaving Lothering when you get the cutscene of the archdemon. So it’s pretty close to the beginning of the game.
