Can't click anything. Dragon Age Origins Character Creation. [ Edited ]

I just downloaded the Character Creator only to find out that I can't use my mouse to click anything, at all.  An option gets highlighted every time I hover my mouse over it but nothing happens when I click on it.  Nothing else seems to get the highlighted option to work either.  I've looked around and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem.

To me, it sounds like something in the game became corrupted, but I've never heard of this happening in a game. Usually with any software I've used, if you can't click, it didn't start up properly. If it's impossible to repair the install, you'd have to back up any of your old saves and try re-installing the game. That's what's worked for me in other programs where I've had similar issues.

Now, if only there was some fix I could try for my problem. -_-
