walk with xbox 360 game pad in pc version

Querying the ability to toggle the characters to be able to walk / run with Xbox-360 controller in PC version.
I have searched online with no luck.
I'm used to K+M control but recently came into possession of an USB Xbox 360 controller and wanted to try it out with all 3 Dragon Ages.
If there is not, is there a patch in the works? 
It's 2018, 4yrs after its release one would think the coders would of corrected this via patch.
In most games since Mario 64, walking speed is determined by how far you push your analog stick. Push it a little and the character walks. Push it all the way and the character runs.

The first two Dragon Age games don't support controllers on PC. Dragon Age Inquisition was the first BioWare game since Jade Empire to support controllers on PC.
