I'll start by saying I work on computers for a living. I mean for over a decade.
I searched the Internet, including these forums, for advice on how to solve the problem of the game not recognizing I have required DLC installed. Most users are Steam users. Here's my unique situation.
I had Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. 1 month for a dollar. I installed and played DA:I GOTY Edition for over 80 hours. My Game Pass Ultimate subscription expired yesterday. The EA Desktop app uninstalled the game. Today, I signed up for Game Pass for PC. I had to re-download and install DA:I. I now get the dreaded message that I am missing DLC. I saw that the recommended course of action was to talk with EA Help. So I did. And support told me to come here. And post my problem. And wait for a response. So here I am.

So, what do I do now?

Finally I was able to partially fix the problem, at least to be able to play the main story without problems. I was able to get the profileOption file from an account that doesn't have this problem and has the Goty version. If you just want to play single player and ignoring the multipalyer (if there are even people playing it), put the file and replace it inside C:\Users\{Your Account}\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save. The game will enter in offline mode and will recognize all Dlcs. Sorry for my English, I was using Google Translate.
Pdt: I don't know why it won't let me attach the file, so I will upload it to OneDrive

Hey @dhansell if running into a bug such as this our team will ask that you post a bug report on AHQ so that they can be gathered together.
If you open up EA Desktop and check DA:I does it show the DLC for the game as being available to you?

Yes. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the DLC multiple times. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA desktop app and the Xbox app.

I have the same problem. I posted it like a month ago, still no fix. Talked with 2 of them on the chat. They don't help with it. Just tell me to post it in the forums. This is totally ridicilous. I think they just need to reauthorize the dlc on the account. But EA is EA, like AngryJoe says. SHUT UP GIMME MONEY! They can't fix a 6 year old game, or just don't care.

Hey @dhansell please do not call out CMs as doing so is not allowed on AHQ.
If a CM does not respond then it is worth giving them time as like you, we get a weekend now and again.
We are happy to pass your bug report on to the team.
As EA Desktop is in beta you may see issues such as this pop up from time to time.

Hi @dhansell,
I just wanted to follow up on this as I have seen some reports on the EA Desktop forums where players cannot continue their savegame after the EA Play subscription expired due to getting an error message saying that you don't have the DLC installed.
Is that the case for you as well?

Yeah I understand, you don't want to lose all the progress that you have made that you have put a lot of time and effort into.
I am wondering if you can start a new game, save the progress and then continue the savegame on a new game. I guess it's something that you can test by creating a backup of the savegame, but as I have seen multiple reports of this I don't want you to put your save at risk.
I'll get it over to the team and check if there is something known about this.
