[Xbox] Dragon Age Inquisition crashing On Launch [ Edited ]

Thanks - just to check, is this a different EA profile or a different Xbox profile? Do you need to do it every time you start the game or just once?

Different Xbox profile and yes it has to be done every time unfortunately but it’s the price we have to pay to play

Hey, @thunderdeath947 What exactly does not work with the game? Can you be more specific on the issue you are having?

It tends to crash right as the ea logo shows up I’ve tried to reinstall multiple times but I get the same results I play online and it is the only game that crashes

Hey, Everyone

Wanted to jump in on this one for a moment. 

The team is still aware that this issue is happening and has been monitored. With the upcoming release of DA: TV, the team is highly focused on that, and most older titles like DA:I am on the back burner for the moment.

One of the main issues that the team saw with this one was that it was more related to the save file than the game. When the game connects to the servers, there is some type of corrupt data happening. This is most likely why certain steps like not being connected to the internet and works or another profile work.

I've tried myself to get rid of all saves locally, server side, and on the 360 dashboard side as well. One thing I cannot test is opening the 360 dashboard when the game is launched but sadly the game doesn't stay up long enough.

If someone could be awesome enough to try to test that one out that would be great!

For now, though, it is considered a secondary issue for the most part. I am still monitoring it. If steps that work are found, we can update this and let everyone know but for now, we have to treat it as a normal technical issue with saved data being checked by the servers.

@thunderdeath947 So with Xbox it is a known issue. There have only been a couple of ways to get it to work. If you get the save files from the 360 dash deleted it should work but at the moment, going offline first or swapping to another Xbox profile is about the only way to get it to not crash.

I have tried every fix I can, the problem seem to be connecting to the dragon age servers with specific accounts. Any time the game tries to connect to the dragon age keep servers. It works completely offline for me but we couldn't upload our world state from previous games because of it.

@acontentoak Start the game on a profile that has never played it then swap to your normal profile after u get to the main menu and it connects to the servers. Keep secondary profile logged in

After doing alot of investigating I'm pretty confident that this has to do with the game trying to connect to dragon age servers for specific people's accounts. Like it crashes whenever it tries to connect to the da servers or the Keep or wtv. I've read people saying that they had the crashing problem but it didn't persist after they switched accounts. For me it is currently working but only if I am offline, which sucks because we couldn't upload our world state from the previous games and we can't play online at all.

@acontentoakYea I know it’s a server connection issue but the solution I gave negates that and lets your original profile connect to servers and u can upload whatever and even play online multiplayer
