Temple of mythal door not opening after rituals

I have done the 3 rituals and the quest itself has updated on "journey still deeper into the temple" but the door to the petitioner's chamber is not opening. It only gives me the pop up message that "open this door by completing the rituals", which I have. It his quite frustrating. I have reloaded and restarted the game but nothing helped. Is this a new bug? What should I do?
