Save data created with a newer version of the game?

★★ Novice

Hiya, I tried playing DA:I again for the first time in a looong while today, and I cannot open any of my old saves.

I reinstalled the game and tried repairing through Origin, and nothing works.

I looked up this issue and followed the suggestions to change the version number under the package file in the patch folder, but no matter what number I change it to, I still can't play.

I have no idea what else to do to try and fix this, any suggestions?

Do you have DLC in your account that you haven't installed yet?

Nope, I double checked Origin and all the DLCs are downloaded. Frown

@LizardTime If you ever used mods your patch number would have been increased, what number(s) have you been trying to set in package.mft? Note if you are using mods it's the package.mft in the merged mod folder that you want to be higher Standard smile

Gosh I didn't even remember that I had mods downloaded because I hadn't used them in my original playthrough. ^^

Looks like that's the issue too, since I tried loading early saves of my first game and they worked...

Thank you!!

I tried changing the package version number in the merged mod folder from 10-20 with no luck...

Going to bump this up because I still can't play and I miss this game. ;u;

Just to check, do you currently have mods installed?

If you do, you need to change the package.mft number in the merged mod folder, not the patch folder.
