I see no one else in Multiplayer

Brand new to EA / Origin / and Dragon Age Inquisition

level 1 and level 2 characters created in multiplayer ... I have yet to see any other peeps and I cannot seem to be able to invite one friend or join a different party.

please help this completely newbie.
