I had the same issue with several games including this one and called in to support did all the recommended support and then was told they couldn't help me. super frustrating.

Yeah, they are people too and like any other group some are better than others at fixing stuff, and sometimes it is just something odd on your system(or game) and they can't help at all.
If you wish someone here to give it a shot, then post up a DxDiag file and exactly what is going on in your system and when, and maybe something can be done....

It wasn't a person it was a team of people over several days nearly a week. nothing was accomplished turned out to be frustrating and fruitless.

THAT WAS IT! I created an exception for AVG and it worked. Thank you so much....I had repaired, reinstalled, cleared the cache....and i didn't think it'd ever work.

This opens a window where you can click on the error's visually shown (white X in red circle) to find the latest one related to Origin and Dragon Age Inquisition. Click show details and then paste the info that is listed in there in here.

That is Avast causing your issue. Aswhooka.dll is an Avast dll and means you haven't put in the correct exclusions for DAI, Origin and DAI saves to get the game to run.
You want global exclusions on those three.

YOU GUYS NEED TO MAKE SURE THE GAME & "ORIGIN" ARE CORRECTLY SETUP IN YOUR FIREWALL. MAINLY "INBOUND" IF U NEED HELP DOING THAT LET ME KNOW. BUT ALSO, YOU HAVE TO APPLY THE CORRECT THE "TCP / UDP" PORT CONFIGURATIONS TOO. THATS A MUST! LASTLY, OPEN UP ORGIN AND "RIGHT CLICK" ON THE GAME AND SELECT "GAME PROPERTIES" OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED AND YOU'LL SEE RIGHT THERE IF ITS LAUNCHING w/ORIGIN IN GAME "ON" OR NOT. MOST LIKELY ITS ON. IF IT IS ON, SIMPLY CLICK THE CHECKBOX TO TURN IT OFF AND MAKE SURE ITS NOT LAUNCHING WITH THAT. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS SEPARATE TO "ORIGIN SETTINGS" AND TURNING OFF THE "IN-GAME" PROPERTIES FROM THE TAB TOO.
IM TRYING TO KEEP THIS SUPER SIMPLE AND TO THE POINT. IF YOU NEED ANY OTHER HELP FIXING THIS ISSUE, LET ME KNOW AND ILL HELP YOU ALL OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
