Failure to Launch

★★ Novice

Whenever I try to launch Inquisition, it opens in a small window then expands to a full black screen for a split second before disappearing. Here is my dxdiag: http://hastebin.com/otezofuqun.tex

Re: Failure to Launch

★★ Guide

A couple of things to try,

Right-click on DA:I in your Origin game library, and choose 'Repair game'.

In Origin settings, uncheck 'Enable origin in game'.

If you haven't done so already, can you force the game to use high-performance mode (your gt745m) via the nvidia control panel

Nope, the launch got a little farther (I got to see my cursor) before it crashed but that's it.

I along with updating the driver (Nvidia) would look atthe Microsoft .NET hotfix they released after DAI was released, supposedly the game was causing corruption and conflicts which causes the game to crash.

I'm updating Nvidia now, I  updated MN earlier and that did not fix it so hopefully this will.

Having the same problem with nVidia 870m GPU. I updated to the latest drivers then this started happening. I'm at 344.75

I'm gonna try dropping back a version again... might be related to the latest drivers on mobile GPUs

Didnt help... Frown I've tried 344.65 with no luck. I'll try one driver.

I'll see if I can contact some friends to help with this tomorrow. I'll post if I find a solution.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm also running Windows 8.1
