Good afternoon, I have just bought this game with my girlfriend, as it was on sale, the GOTY version, both of us. And we did buy it as we saw it was possible to play together in multiplayer.

 

After installing it on both PC, we have tried and played the basic training mission in multiplayer and all good there, but then we wanted to try and play together.

 

We have done all the following: trying to invite from the multiplayer menu, or from the game itself when one of us starts but no matter what the game won't let us play together, so we are incredibly frustrated.

 

I did contact the EA technical support and the technician (Prem) via chat told me to do a flush of DNS. We both executed as administrator the cmd.exe command and followed his instructions and then rebooted. This has done nothing and changed nothing in the game behaviour.

 

We don't have firewalls or antivirus in the way (we just disable them entirely to play) and can successfully play other online games together as we both are on fiber at 100mbit and have zero connection issues or bandwidth problems. 

 

So the errors we get are always the same. If for instance I do create a game and click invite and select her, the game would show her the cards as if it was starting and then take her back to the screen of character selection and show "download game data" forever and ever, so that to end that she needs to go to the task manager and kill the game process. She has tried to do the same and invite me and the same thing happens to me to, i have to kill the process as it gets stuck downloading nothing.

I have tried to enter a multiplayer game and it never finds any player (it did only once and i was in a party of 4) but otherwise it always shows me as alone and when I invite her, she gives her the same errors. 

If I enter a match alone, press the V on keyboard and try to invite her, nothing happens as well. I attach some screenshots of errors we have encountered.

We both are located in italy, thanks for any help you may give us, but I am extremely disappointed to have bought a game I cannot play in MP. I am sure the game is great as campaign but it's not the purpose we bought it for.
