I had the same thing, when I start up origin it won't let me press the play button (it's disabled for some reason), but I found a way around it.
For me it worked to insert the first disc of the game and when opened it auto starts the game (the play button remains disabled in origin).
Hope this will help you out.

I understand. I am really disappointed. Spent $14 for a DLC that does not even load. Can not chat to someone online for support gives me a page not found.

The Origin in-game Overlay was buggered during yesterdays upload, and probably must be disabled for some game players. You may need to be running Origin with Administrator Rights enabled to be able to disable the Overlay. That probably means for the time being the MultiPlayer mode will have to wait if you are affected.
The EA Help Center, and several of the EA websites besides, seem particularly allergic to various plug-ins used with browsers. A totally clean copy of either Opera or of Safari will almost certainly allow you to access the Live Chat options.

Meldek and Giubba,
Did you disable Origin in game overlay?
Have you tried playing Origin offline?
