For DX errors generally with Frostbite engine (EA Rick's post in BF4 section):
http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/DirectX-Error/m-p/1721429#M17083
Control panel -> Time, Language and Region -> Region -> Administrative tab
Change Language for non-Unicode programs To English(US)
If that won't solve "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" error, try with switching PhysX to CPU in the nvidia control panel (restart your PC after you change that).

Hmm, I'm not sure if the error is referring to the driver or it's just being informative. That's the Unity driver, right? It's possible that BW would never have tested that one so there's a conflict, so I'd try rolling back to the 344. 60 drivers. I'm still in preload hell so I can't try on my end to confirm though.

I am getting something similar but mine says DirectX function "Getdeviceremovedreason"failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG "The application device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the aplpication. This is an design-time issue that sould be investigated and fixed". I am up to date on updates, I have the most updated direct X and still the issue persists.

I'm also gettin gthe DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG with a GTX 660

My girlfriend is getting the same problem, she has a GTX 660, I have a GTX 670 and it works perfectly fine.

GTX 680, driver version 344.65. Same problem, kicks me out every 5 minutes or so. makes me think about memory leak or buffer overflow

Yup I keep crashing on cutscenes. I can't ever read the error though because it freezes my game and it doesn't let me alt tab to the error message. I hope this gets fixed quick...

This is the same problem i had. Happens every time i try to load the game.

I tried to switch physx to cpu and I was finally able to get to the menu screen. I ran a benchmark and the game crashed again so now i can't play anymore.
