I cannot play the single player because I get the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. This happens in cut scenes and in the war room. This has not yet happened during multi player, but I occasionally enter some kind of "Console" window reminding of a DOS or Unix command window, which I cannot leave (No "X" to click nor any commands like Exit, Quit or End works). Upon typing "help" I get a bunch of seamingly graphic ability related commands, but no way to exit.

To reiterate what other people are saying, I have the same DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error which randomly occurs when I play (more often than not at the start of a cutscene). I am using a AMD Radeon HD 6700 and my computer meets all recommended requirements. I have not played this game more than an hr without it crashing.
I had to defeat the first boss in the intro THREE TIMES because it kept crashing on the cutscene. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP, it makes the game virtually unplayable.
I've updated my drivers already so yeah, it's still happening. Pretty sure we should get some free DLC from this considering I preordered this game and got a half finished product with a half baked user interface to boot.
this is a nightmare i have a gtx660 and also keep getting a direct error crash the error message saids it needs investigation i then need to shut down dragon age to unfreeze my pc please fix this i am enjoying the game quite a bit and just want to play with out issue thank you
game crashes on start up
DirectX function "device->CreateTexture1D( &texDesc1d,
dexc.subresourceCount != 0? reinterpret_cast<const
D3D11_SUBRESOURCE_DATA*>(desc.subResouceData) : 0,
&texture->m_texture1d)" failed with E_INVALIDARG ("An invalid
paramter was passed to the returning function."). GPU: "NVIDIA
GeForce 8800 GTX" , Driver : 34062
Am I the only one getting these "Console" crashes during multi-player? Seems like fun but I only get 1-2 levels in before I need to Ctrl+Alt+Delete Task Manager Quit
Sorry, but really disaappointed, waited a while for this.
All I have to say - I am extremely disappointed. Not working at all. Loved your games for year now you **bleep** failed, at least for PC. Fix it!
Not gonna post my config again.
This game FAILED so hard. I waited for this for... ages. And what did I get? Well you all know what we got! This is totally unacceptable - how dare you bring so unpolished and untested product to paying customers!? No. I don't want to go workaround. Don't want to declock. Fix this game or wont buy another EA product.
Man... it's like. You go to buy a car. Fine. Oh but the windshield is off! Well not to worry... you can't drive it for a week while the tech is working on a workaround? Ha? Right...
The thing that's mostly annoying about this for me is that it seems to crash without any real change. I once played for a good two hours or more, and it was perfectly fine. Went through a bunch of cutscenes and everything without issue. Then another time, it crashed within a half hour. Makes no lick of sense.
Basically the same issue as everyone else. It happens at random times not in cutscenes but it does occur pretty frequently. I have updated to the latest drivers Nvidia released today with no change. It's fairly dissapointing I payed for a un-optimised product. What I've played of the game I liked, but this is really unplayable as is. I hope something is done about it soon.
