I am getting something similar but mine says DirectX function "Getdeviceremovedreason"failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG "The application device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the aplpication. This is an design-time issue that sould be investigated and fixed". I am up to date on updates, I have the most updated direct X and still the issue persists.
The Battlefield and Crysis 3 games have had that error, from factory overclocked GPUs, and the usual fix is to run a "downclock" procedure to reset those to the default speed for a usual version of the same GPU core.

I was having an issue with DirectX crashing to desktop, but not a hung error. I found out the issue was Webroot Security Anywhere not playing well with Denuvo. Turning off Webroot solved all my problems. I sware Webroot causes more problems than it solves for me... not that Denuvo acting like malware helps anyway.

Graphics card clock is set at 980 for GTX 650 TI BOOST. According to http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-650ti-boost/specifications thats the base. What else do you have? Still receivng this error and dropping to desktop every 15-20 minuets always in the middle of a cut scene. I have killed that dang pride deamon 5 times now.

i have the same probleme. everytime i launch the game i got crash into 2 min during scenario video.
directx fonction ''getdeviceremovedreason" fail with dxgi_error_device_hung('' the application device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. this is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed'') GPU: nvidia geforce gtx 260'' driver 34052
You should already be updating drivers every three months, +/- and you have not done that, so your complaint may not belong in this thread.

Hi,
Each time I load the game I get this direct X error that crashes the game. The game started correctly first time, but crashed after character creation. Here is the Dxdiag

Thanks a lot
Yoiur currently active video is inadequate, and your CPU is too slow. The game requires a 2.0 GHz Intel Quad, you have 1.8 GHz. The only video your DxDiag knows about is this trash:
---------------
Display Devices
---------------
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

There's my link. Here is my error message: DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.") GPU "AMD Radeon HD 5670", Driver 14.9 (14.301.1001-140915a-176154C)
I make it through the character creation process, and it seems as though it's about to start a cinematic when it crashes.
I really look forward to a quick fix, I can't wait to play.
Thank you!
