Can't connect to server

The game can't connect to the server. I'm on Windows 10. I can log into EA services through my browser on the same PC and can connect to my account in DAO in Steam. So it seems like it's something to do with Origin. I've reinstalled Origin, set it and DAI to run as admin, I've allowed it through my firewall, turned off my firewall entirely... Nothing helps. I know there are older threads about this but I'm hoping more is known about this by now that can help me since the old advice doesn't help.

Turns out it's a problem with my university connection. I've found a workaround now so it's working.

What was the work around? I'm having problems connecting online to use my tapestry from the keep and have tried all the troubleshooting I can think of :/

Yeah if you don't mind sharing the work around that would be much appreciated. I'm on PS4 but if what you did applies to consoles I'd like to give it a try.
