Auto-Saving Issue

I'm currently sitting here watching the wheel spin. It's been spinning for about ten minutes now. I had just reset the abilities on a few of my characters. I exited the screen and found that the auto save icon was taking awhile. Menu wont let me save because of the auto save going on. worried that i'll either lose what i had been doing and have to do it all over again or that exiting will corrupt my save. anyone else experiencing this problem?

Just tried to travel to see if that would reset it or something. The screen has gone black and has stayed that way for about thirty seconds. I figure the game has now frozen.
